Abdulla Kagalwalla

Managing Director

Abdulla Kagalwalla is the co-founder of Signature India Holdings, LLC. He has been with Signature Senior Living, LLC, USA since its inception in 2005 as their Chief Financial Officer (CFO) overlooking Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Banking, Compliance, Project Financing and Information Technology. Prior to Signature, Abdulla directed his services to the business growth of Assisted Living Concepts, Inc., a large national Assisted Living company. In this Role as the head of Financial Planning and Analysis, Abdulla oversaw the setup of the FP&A department, BPM setup and reporting, Banking and Treasury, Compliance and Controls, and Financial Operations Streamlining.

Abdulla headed the development of Right Click Software, an award winning senior living operations application and was responsible for setting up its Indian Operations, which was acquired by Matrixcare in 2014. In implementation, he consulted with Senior Living Companies in Operational and Financial facets to enhance efficiency.

Abdulla brings 25+ years of experience in various roles in Finance, Start up, Growth, Restructuring and Re-organization arena both domestically and internationally across various industries and over 12 years in the Senior Living Industry. He holds a Masters of Accounting, a Masters of Business Administration, CMA, CBM, and CFC designations. Abdulla sits on the CFO Roundtable panel of the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA).

He is a regular speaker on Senior Housing and shares his understanding and vision across various media platforms.
 

Jay Stowers

Head - Quality & Risk

Jay Stowers has 20 years of experience in quality and risk consulting, including his post as a Vice President with Aon Risk Services-- the world’s second largest insurance broker. In 2005, Jay Stowers founded Senior Risk. Senior Risk has grown into one of the premier quality and clinical consulting firms in the US. Senior Risk and has provided consulting services to over 1400 senior housing communities in 44 states including assisted, skilled, Alzheimer’s and continuous care retirement communities. Mr. Stowers is recognized by many as the leading risk management consultant in senior living. He has personally conducted over 1100 onsite Quality Assessment Reviews and presented on various related topic at the national and state level.

Prior to Senior Risk, LLC, he directed the risk management program for Assisted Living Concepts and their 200+ locations. His responsibilities included the placement of insurance coverage, claims management, loss control and cost of risk analysis. During his 4 year tenure, Workers’ Compensation claim costs were reduced by 70% or $2.7Mil and lost workdays due to employee injury were curtailed by 10,000 days (90%). During the same time period, this healthcare company with over 6,000 residents averaged less than one lawsuit per year.
 

Teresa Allmond

Head - Senior Living Operations

Teresa Allmond specializes in operations, risk management, and geriatric nurse consulting based on over 20 years of experience operating senior care communities. Her experience includes developing and managing independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled care and hospital based transitional care. Ms. Allmond has direct multi-site experience in managing approximately 100 communities throughout the United States during her career.

Prior to offering consulting services, she most recently served as the President of Signature Senior Living Management Company. This company developed and managed independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities. She was responsible for community operations, program development, strategic planning, market analysis, budget development, financial performance, occupancy performance, staff development, risk and litigation management, regulatory compliance, team building, quality care, succession planning, and policy development and implementation. She has held additional Senior Management positions at various senior living companies both public and private including Assisted Living Concepts and Rehab Care Group.

She is a RN and is board certified as both a Gerontological Nurse and Legal Nurse Consultant.
 

Dr. Sandra Petersen

Head - Clinical

Dr. Sandra Petersen is the Head of Geriatrics at Signature, where she designs and oversees all care management activities. Prior to that, she oversaw care management and clinical activities at Assisted Living Concepts, serving as the VP of Clinical Services from 1996 to 2005. Dr. Petersen is also an Associate Professor in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at UT Tyler in Tyler, TX.

She has a Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas, a post-Master’s Geriatric Nurse Practitioner certificate from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, a post-Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner certificate from Northern Kentucky University, a post-Master’s Family Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Northern Kentucky University, and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Rush University School of Nursing in Chicago. Dr. Petersen has authored on various topics relating to Assisted Living, Memory Care, hospice, home care, psychiatric nursing, biofeedback, and nursing leadership. Her research interests include pain management, nursing education, robotic pet assistive therapy, and non-pharmacologic interventions in dementia care.

Daniel Leaf

Executive Vice President, Operations

Daniel is responsible for bringing best of the class international standard operating procedures and policies to India and ensuring that it is tailored to meet the Indian geographical and cultural diversities. Having operated and overseen more than 2000 units, Daniel brings his expertise in design and flow of to ensure its incorporation into the design and architecture of the community.

Anuj Kapadia

Executive Director, Media & Marketing

With over 25+ years of experience in application development, graphic design, social media and online advertising, Anuj has been a part of several success stories across a wide range of industries. He has a deep understanding of the various digital channels and assets to be used for running an effective online media and marketing campaign.

Abbasali Bagasrawala

Director of Food & Beverage Operations

Mr. Bagasrawala is responsible for Signatures F&B area; planning operations, designing workflows, creating SOP’s and preparing training manuals.

In all Abbasali has 11 plus years’ experience in Production, Operations and Training & Recruitment verticals of the hospitality industry.

He began his career with the Sheraton Hotel & Towers in Auckland, New Zealand. Has worked with organizations such as Thackers Hospitality, Hutchison 3G, Vira International in India and his last assignment was with Supreme Support Services, where he was managing Supremes’ Training Centre & Kitchen.

Abbasali holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from India & a Specialization in Hospitality Management & Catering operations from New Zealand.



Abhijeet Umathe

Abhijeet has over 23 years of experience encompassing hotel operations, procurement, catering business & hotel consultancy .
Prior to Knight Frank, Abhijeet’s engagements were as head Transaction Management with IPLMSL, Head Procurement with RKHS (Compass Group), CEO SNG Foods, Operations Manager with the Taj Group of Hotels and Kamat Hotels
He possesses demonstrated expertise in hotel consulting, hospitality procurement and hotel asset management
